The Delta Ice Hawks will be looking to extend their season when they face the Richmond Sockeyes tonight in game five of their Shaw Conference Final series. The Sockeyes hold a three games to one lead in the best-of-seven after a dramatic comeback victory on Tuesday night in Delta. Richmond erased a 3-0 lead and scored six times in a span of 22 minutes to shock the crowd in Ladner. Delta's apparent game tying goal, with 23 second left on the clock, was waved off when it was ruled that Mak Barden had interfered with the Richmond goaltender. The disagreement resulting from the controversial call means the Ice Hawks will be short a coach for tonight's match-up. It has been a fantastic series and with the Ice Hawks backs to the wall, this game has all the markings of a classic. Game time is 7:30 at Minoru Arena.
