Finally . . . It's Game Day!

In a league where games are scheduled six days a week, five days off seems like an eternity, but they get back at it tonight in a big way. The PJHL Conference Finals face-off this evening in Ladner and Abbotsford as the four remaining teams will battle to advance to the Championship series.

It's all about rivalries in this round as both series are rematches of last years Conference Finals, and in the case of the Shaw Conference, it's been four straight years the Sockeyes and Ice Hawks have met at this stage. These two squads battled through six, very intense, regular season matches and raced each other in the standings for five months before the Sockeyes emerged victorious, by just one game! If the past is any indication, this will be a fantastic and bitterly fought series.

Over in the Harold Brittain Conference, the Abbotsford Pilots led the way from wire to wire during the regular season, but it wasn't without facing an determined second half challenge from the Aldergrove Kodiaks. Both teams went 18-4-0 in the second half, and played some brilliantly entertaining head-to-head games. Goaltending should be solid at both ends of the ice, and whoever wins that battle will have a leg up. As with the Shaw Conference, it's going to be a hard-hitting battle every step of the way.

This is what it's all about. LIVE playoff hockey! It's going to be a great couple of weeks.
