PILOTS CLINCH FIRST PLACE

Colton Cowden scored the winner in overtime and the Abbotsford Pilots clinched first place in the Brittain Conference with a 4-3 victory over Richmond. The Pilots trailed 3-1 after 40 minutes but rallied in the third, tying the game with three minutes remaining. It was a tight checking, hard hitting game with a lot of intensity. The Sockeyes pick up a point for the OTL and increase their lead over Delta to three points in the race for first place in the Shaw Conference.

The Ridge Meadows Flames came from behind to edge the Port Moody Panthers 4-3 tonight in Maple Ridge. Trailing 2-1 after two periods, the Flames scored three goals in the final frame to take the victory. Ridge Meadows is 5-4-1 in their last ten games. For Port Moody, the loss keeps them three points behind Mission City for the final Brittain Conference playoff spot. Both the Panthers and the Outlaws have three games remaining on their schedule.

North Vancouver tied the game late in the third period and Spencer Quon scored the winner in overtime as the Wolf Pack knocked of the Devils tonight in North Delta. The victory moves the Pack one point ahead of the Devils, with a game in hand, in the race for third place in the Shaw Conference. These two teams will face each other one more time, next Wednesday in North Vancouver. What a fantastic race this has been!
