devils and flames take upset victories

It was the Max Fiedler show tonight in Aldergrove, as the North Delta forward scored four times in the Devils 6-3 victory over the Kodiaks. The nineteen year old Fiedler now has nine goals and seventeen points in eight games since arriving in a trade from Port Moody. The win moves the Devils six points up on North Vancouver in the race for third place in the Shaw Conference. It was a good game that was closer than the final score, with the Kodiaks out-shooting the Devils 36-24. With the loss, Aldergrove missed an opportunity to gain ground on first placed Abbotsford Pilots, who were in Maple Ridge dropping a 7-3 decision to the Ridge Meadows Flames. It was quite a night for the Flames, who got two goals each from Mike Nolan, Matt Bissett and Adam Bartch on the way to their second win in a row. The Flames are 5-3-2 in their last ten starts and sitting securely in third place. The Pilots remain nine points up on Aldergrove in first place in the Brittain Conference standings.
