Tonight, the Richmond Sockeyes host the Delta Ice Hawks in the second game of the Shaw Conference Finals at Minoru Arena. The Sockeyes have home ice advantage in the series but played game one in Delta and were soundly beaten by the Ice Hawks 4-0. Richmond seemed to come out a bit tentative on Tuesday night before picking up the pace for the final twenty minutes. Three of the next four games are being played at Minoru Arena and the Sockeyes will no doubt be able to use that to their advantage. Meanwhile, the Ice Hawks will try to replicate what was a very solid performance in game one. Alex Ahnert was perfect in goal and a solid defensive team effort kept the front of the net clear for most of the game. The game was pretty quiet, as far as rough stuff is concerned, but you just know that emotions will come to the surface as we get deeper into the series. It should be a beauty tonight in Richmond. Game time is 7:30.
