The Aldergrove Kodiaks have booked a ticket to the PJHL Finals for the second time in their five year history by defeating the Abbotsford Pilots 4-1. It was the fourth win in a row for the Kodiaks as they take the Brittain Conference Finals four games to one. The Pilots jumped out to a 3-0 lead after twenty minutes and added a second period marker before the Pilots finally got on the board with six minutes remaining in the game. Spencer McHaffie had two goals while his brother Scott and Ryan Simpson added singles. The Kodiaks now await the winner of the Tom Shaw Conference Finals while the Pilots set their sights on next season. Despite the disappointing result, it was an outstanding year for Abbotsford.
It was a wild night in Ladner as the Richmond Sockeyes registered another come-from-behind victory over Delta, edging the Ice Hawks 6-5. Delta jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, chasing starting goalie Kootenay Alder after just nine minutes. The Hawks held the lead until midway through the second period when three Sockeye goals in just six minutes tied it up. Delta regained the lead a minute into the third, but two Dean Allison goals in 47 seconds gave Richmond a lead they never relinquished. The Ice Hawks appeared to tie the game with 23 seconds remaining, but the goal was disallowed due to a goaltender interference call. The Sockeyes now lead the series 3-1 with game five on Thursday night in Richmond.
