SOCKEYES AND WOLF PACK WIN

Josh Cronin scored the winning goal in overtime as the Aldergrove Kodiaks defeated the Richmond Sockeyes by a score of 4-3 at the Richmond Olympic Oval. It looked like the Kodiaks were going to win in regulation, but two goals by Daniell Lange in the last 1:15 of the third period sent the game into OT. Lange just missed winning the game for the Sockeyes when he hit the post of a wide open net in overtime. In a strange twist, Aldergrove's Ryan Simpson had two penalty shots in the the third period. He went one for two versus Kootenay Alder. It was the second consecutive overtime loss by the Sockeyes who now lead the Shaw Conference standings by four points over Delta. Richmond will be in Ladner on Tuesday night to face the Ice Hawks.

The North Vancouver wolf Pack have moved three points up on the North Delta Devils after a 6-3 victory over the Port Moody Panthers. Both North Van and North Delta have two games remaining, including a head-to-head match on Wednesday night in North Vancouver. The Wolf Pack can clinch third place in the Shaw Conference with a win on Wednesday, and the Devils need a victory to keep their chances alive. It should be a great game. The final shots on goal tonight were 45-23 in favor of North Vancouver.
