SOCKEYES AND PILOTS WIN

The Richmond Sockeyes played a stellar defensive game and Kootenay Alder was perfect in a 3-0 victory over the North Delta Devils in the first game of their playoff series. The Sockeyes jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead and controlled the game throughout. Final shots were 36-21 in favour of the Sockeyes. Games two and three are Friday and Saturday in North Delta where the Devils will have to find a way to get more scoring chances.

The Abbotsford Pilots are up two games to none over the Mission City Outlaws after a 6-3 victory tonight at the Mission Leisure Centre. The Outlaws had a 2-0 lead after the first period but couldn't contain the surging Pilots. The Teams meet again tomorrow night in Abbotsford where the Outlaws will have to find a way to play a complete game and get back into the series. It's a make break game at MSA.
