Monday: The PJHL Playoffs begin tonight in Aldergrove with the Kodiaks hosting the Ridge Meadows Flames. If the regular season is any indication, the Kodiaks have to be considered heavy favorites in this best-of seven-series, as they dominated the six regular season meetings between the two clubs. These two teams also met in the first round last season under very similar circumstances. The Kodiaks had dominated the regular season meetings, but needed six tough games to eliminate the Flames in a very hard fought series. These rivals finished much closer together in the standings this year, so expect a much tighter series than the statistics may indicate. Game time tonight is 8:30.
