friday night action in the pac

The North Vancouver Wolf Pack are in Abbotsford tonight, looking to close the gap on North Delta, who hold third spot in the Shaw Conference playoff race. However, it has been almost impossible for road teams to get points out of MSA Arena, so both the Devils and the fifth placed Grandview Steelers will be watching, and cheering for the home town Pilots. Abbotsford is poised to claim first place in the Brittain Conference, despite an excellent second half run by the Aldergrove Kodiaks. Any combination of two Abbotsford wins or Aldergrove losses will clinch first place for the Pilots.

In Maple Ridge tonight, it will be a first round playoff preview between the Aldergrove Kodiaks and the Ridge Meadows Flames. The Kodiaks have been one of the strongest teams in the league over the last two months, so would appear to be the favorites heading into the playoffs, but the Flames have been showing signs recently, knocking off a couple of the league's best. The Flames have not been able to solve the Kodiaks in their four meeting this season. The two teams meet again on Wednesday evening in Aldergrove.
