panthers fall to kodiaks in aldergrove

The Aldergrove Kodiaks scored two goals, early in the third period, to break open a close game and down the Port Moody Panthers 5-2. The Kodiaks are now seven points behind the Abbotsford Pilots, who hold down first place in the Brittain Conference. Both Abbotsford and Aldergrove have ten games remaining on their regular season schedules. The Kodiaks are 11-1-0 in their last dozen games, but have been unable to gain much ground on the Pilots who are 10-2-0 over the same time frame. Port Moody, who are dressing a remarkably young roster, stayed in the game through 40 minutes. The Panthers have been playing better of late, but have yet to cash in with a victory. They remain in last place in the Conference, six points out of fourth.
