The Delta Ice Hawks are just two points behind the Richmond Sockeyes, in the race for first place in the Shaw Conference, after a 6-2 victory at home over the Mission City Outlaws. Jeremy Gossard and Brent Chreptyk each scored twice for the Ice Hawks who led 4-0 after twenty minutes and cruised the rest of the way. Delta, who has just eight games remaining on their regular season schedule, has a week off until their next game, while the Sockeyes will play their two games in hand this week versus North Delta and Mission City. The Outlaws are back in action on Thursday night versus Aldergrove, at the Mission Leisure Centre.
