The Richmond Sockeyes, after allowing the first six goals of the series, have reeled off five straight of their own and defeated the Delta Ice Hawks 2-0 tonight in Richmond. It was a defensive battle without a lot of great scoring chances but Dean Allison found the net in the first period and Jeremy Hamaguchi added insurance in the third. Kootenay Alder stopped 27 shots and recorded the win and his second shut-out of the playoffs. Alex Ahnert was sharp again in goal for the Ice Hawks stopping 29 of 31. Ice Hawks power forward Anthony Brito sat out for the second straight game with an injury. The Sockeyes now lead the Shaw conference Finals two games to one with game four scheduled for Tuesday night in Ladner.

Stefan Gonzales scored the winning goal in double overtime as the Aldergrove Kodiaks defeated the Abbotsford Pilots 4-3 tonight in game four of their Brittain Conference Final series. Spencer McHaffie, who scored his fourth goal of the playoffs late in the third period to force extra time, added two assists tonight including a helper on the winning goal. It's the second straight game to stretch into double-overtime with Aldergrove taking both of them. The Pilots now have their backs to the wall as they trail the best-of-seven series three games to one. The Kodiaks first chance to advance to the PJHL Championship will be on Tuesday night at MSA Arena in Abbotsford, but the Pilots are always very tough at home and can't be counted out of the series yet.
