Kodiaks blast Steelers 8-2

The Aldergrove Kodiaks got goals from seven different skaters and pounded the Grandview Steelers this afternoon, by a score of 8-2. Grandview actually out-shot the Kodikas 37-27, but Cole MacInnes was outstanding in goal for the Kodiaks, making several spectacular saves, while both goalies saw action for Grandview. The victory moves the Kodiaks to within five points of first placed Abbotsford in the Brittain Conference standings. Abbotsford's magic number for clinching the Conference is three points, but it appears the Kodiaks are wanting to make them work for it, as they continue to play excellent hockey down the stretch. For Grandview, the game was not nearly as bad as the score would indicate, but, now officially eliminated from the playoffs, the Steelers seemed to be lacking commitment defensively, giving up far too many odd man rushes.
