Sockeyes and Outlaws Victorious

The Richmond Sockeyes scored two early goals and cruised to a 8-1 victory over the North Vancouver Wolf Pack at Minoru Arena tonight. The Sockeyes out-shot the Pack 38-22 and have now opened up a four point lead atop the Shaw Conference. North Van remains in a fourth place tie with Grandview, but still have two games in hand. In Mission, the Outlaws edged the Port Moody Panthers by a score of 6-5 and now have six point edge in the race for the final Brittain Conference playoff spot. The Panthers, who have traded several veterans in a rebuilding movement, have now lost 13 in a row. They will look to break that streak at home on Saturday night versus Ridge Meadows.
