ice hawks serve notice they're back

The Delta Ice Hawks scored four goals in the first period and cruised to a easy 7-1 victory over the Grandview Steelers. Delta got goals from seven different scorers and out-shot the Steelers 43-21. The win lifts the Ice Hawks to within four points of Conference leading Richmond with nine games remaining on their schedule. The Steelers continue to fall off the pace in the three way race for the final two Shaw Conference playoff spots. This afternoon's loss was their eighth in their last ten games and third in a row. They will have to string some wins together as they have only eight regular-season games left in which to make a move. Grandview can take a huge step towards a playoff spot when they go head to head with the fourth placed Wolf Pack on Saturday night in North Vancouver.
