The Richmond Sockeyes took over first place in the Shaw Conference, and the entire PJHL, as they edged the Port Moody Panthers 3-2 tonight. Richmond had a 3-0 lead after two, but Port Moody made it interesting with two third period markers. The Sockeyes are now one point ahead of Delta and Abbotsford. In Mission, the Aldergrove Kodiaks stretched their winning streak to five games and pulled to within nine points of first placed Abbotsford, with a 6-2 victory over the Outlaws. Tied 1-1 after 20 minutes, the Kodiaks took control with three unanswered second period goals. Mission City remains four points up on Port Moody for the final Brittain Conference playoff position.
