Ice Hawks Look to be Rolling Again

The Delta Ice Hawks won their second game in a row, 6-1 over Ridge Meadows, and jumped into first place in the Shaw Conference, one point ahead of Richmond. The Sockeyes still have two games in hand, but it looks like the race is back on for the stretch run. Aaron Merrick notched a hat-trick and Grange Gordon added a pair, as Delta blew the game wide open with a three goal third period. Although the shots were one sided, the Flames were in the game for the first 45 minutes and had several brilliant scoring chances. Paul Piluso had two brilliant solo rushes that turned into nice saves by Alex Anhert. Both teams are off until Friday night.
