Steelers Upset the Sockeyes at Minoru

The Grandview Steelers went into Minoru Arena tonight, and on the strength of three quick goals, ended the Richmond Sockeyes winning streak by a score of 4-3. The Sockeyes led the game 2-1 after two periods, but the Steelers erupted for three goals before the third period was five minutes old. Richmond closed the gap, but could not get the equalizer. The loss has the Sockeyes in a first place tie with the Delta Ice Hawks with identical 17-5-1 records. Grandiew's record improves to 12-10-1, two points back of North Delta and four points up on North Van in the race for third place in the Shaw Conference standings.
